Worship

We worship together at 9am and 11am.

 

Worship Services generally lasts about an hour (except on Communion Sunday, when it may last about 15 minutes longer). It includes a welcoming portion where we greet each other and share announcements of upcoming church events and activities; songs and hymns; Bible readings; the morning message, usually from our senior pastor; numerous prayers short and longer, corporate and silent; an opportunity for offerings for the work of the church; often an anthem from the adult or handbell choir, an interactive benediction, and final music.

 

Our Fellowship time is held between the services, generally starting about 10am. A staffed nursery is open during both services, though babies also are welcome upstairs with their parents.

 

These services will resume on September 18th.

9:00 am Church Service and Sunday School
Children stay with the adults through the children's message. Then, those who wish to (which is most of them) troop downstairs for class time.

 

11:00am Traditional Worship Service
The 11am service is somewhat more traditional then the 9:00am and is attended by fewer families with children, although there is childcare for small children.

 

On the last Sunday of the month we have “Welcome Sunday,” a spirited service for people of all different abilities.  Friends from local group homes join us for a multi-media and accessible worship experience.  Join us for a less “traditional” Sunday morning!

 

9:00am and 11:00am Communion Services
Held on the first Sunday of every month.  Sensitive to people with food allergies, we offer gluten free wafers in addition to bread.  Out of respect for those who cannot drink alcohol, we use grape juice for the blessed cup of Communion.  Everyone is welcome.

5:00pm Serenity Services
Held on the last Sunday of every month, this is a reflective service for people in 12-step recovery programs, friends and family.
