Cost and Commitment
We have estimated to the best of our ability what it will cost to go on this trip. Students: $250 (this should cover the programming and most of travel (train and bus to Philly RT).
Our goal is to raise an additional $135 per person going on the trip (about $3,000 in total). This should cover our expenses during the mission trip.
It does not cover, our day off (sight seeing costs)which we will do our best to minimize and meals on the days we are traveling to and from Philly (Monday and Sunday). The participants will also need some spending money for during the week.
So far, 5 fundraisers have been scheduled and we expect each student to take part in at least 4 out of the five in order to be a part of the mission trip.
A deposit of $125 per participant is due April 25th (due now) and will hold the participants spot; the rest is due no later then (earlier good) June 15th.

Adult Leaders
The ratio is one adult to four students; this is a smaller ratio then usual but will help us to ensure safety while one the trip. If any parent is interested in going, please have them let you know.
Accommodations
We are staying in the Christian Education building, next to the church.
We will be sleeping on the floor, so will need to bring sleeping bags etc… basically everything you need for the week.
We will be cooking our own meals (pots, pans etc.. will be provided). It will be important when filling out Mt. Sinai’s waiver form, to tell us, allergies and if a participant is vegetarian or vegan.
Travel
At this point we are planning to take the train from Ronkonkoma (parents will need to drop off and pick up there) to Penn, then take a bus to the city, the bus stop is a couple of blocks from the church. During our stay in Philly, we will be taking mass transit to get to our work areas and to sight see. We will arrange a meeting, so it will be easy for you to arrange carpooling among the group.
Free time
We are planning to work, worship together, and have fun. We have one day scheduled to sight-see, and a couple of evenings.
