WELCOME!

Dear Friends,
Thank you for visiting the Mt Sinai Congregational United Church of Christ's webpage. We hope you continue your journey by visiting us for worship some Sunday soon!

Mt. Sinai is a dynamic community of faith which takes seriously Jesus' call to feed the hungry and care for the needy of the world. At the same time, we encourage children to learn, youth to explore and adults to deepen their spirituality through worship, music, study, retreats, yoga, prayer and meditation.

As our congregational life evolves and grows, we invite you to be a part of it! Come, share your gifts, explore your life's purpose, and find the deeper meaning in your daily life.

May you find God's peace for your journey,
Rev. Dr. Diane Samuels

A Day to Celebrate God’s Family - Church World Service Blanket Sunday

Church World Service delivers thick blankets all over the world. They are used as tents and ground covers; they might even serve as clothing during times of disaster. They give warmth and comfort, shelter and privacy. Mother’s Day is Blanket Sunday because it is also the call of mothers to warm, shelter, protect and comfort their children. Buy a Church World Service blanket for a needy child in honor or memory of your mother.

What's going on in Sunday School?

Sunday school has been “buzzing” with many children attending regularly along with parents and friends who join us to share the ‘lesson of the day’. Thanks to the members of our Board Of Christian Education and our creative children of the Church our hallway has been transformed into a brilliant display of butterflies which lead us to the classrooms. Our theme “Growing in God’s Garden” continues through April and in May we’ll decorate a ‘Kindness Tree’.

We have two events to highlight for you early in the month of May. One the 4th the Sunday school children will sing “D.I.S.C.I.P.L.E.S.” a song they have been working on in conjunction with their lessons earlier in the year about The 12 Disciples – they will perform at the beginning of the 9am service, so be sure to get there early!

With love and thanks, Ms. Caroline
CE Coordinator
